Coffeee is one of the first complete Freaks' Progress pieces I ever made. The original is made of ballpoint pen, black marker, white out, and various small elements cut out of bristol board and glued on the larger drawing to cover up mistakes. It was literally proto cut and paste.

The three E's in Coffeee were inspired by Standee's Diner in Rogers Park. For years I was convinced there were three E's in that sign. I was wrong, but I like the idea of screaming coffee, and I'm using it.
